About Nancy
About the photographer and tour director: Nancy Rosner
Nancy Rosner has been an award winning photographer for over 25 years.
She is a native Philadelphian. After her marriage, Nancy and her husband Arnie lived in Margate, New Jersey. They later relocated to Southern California. While raising her two children, she worked as a programmer, project manager, and mid-level manager for over 30 years, at a major aerospace company. She took classes at night, to earn her MBA in 1979.
Nancy continued her education with extensive classes in photography, including fine art photography, the Zone system, darkroom processing (in black and white as well as color), Cibachrome processing, portraiture, personal expression, black and white fine art photography, color photography, digital art, graphic art, design, drawing and painting.
Nancy took an early retirement in 2001 and focuses her attention to the topics she loves best: photography, art and travel.
She has a wide collection of photographs including travel photography from within the United States and countries around the world, wildlife photography, scenics, portraits, macro images, fine art, black and white and color images, and a unique collection of computer manipulated images and digital art. Her art background is reflected in the composition, sense of color and light, of her images.
Nancy’s childhood dream was to go to Africa on a photographic safari. She fell in love with the animals and the people, and has traveled to Kenya many times. It is her great joy to share her experience by providing presentations of her many images, and she enjoys her role as tour director, taking small tour groups to Kenya as well.
